These are the things you should do after having attended your\r\ninterview.</p><ul>\r\n\t\r\n<li>1)Reflect about your experience.\r\nAsk yourself the following questions:\r\n<br>\r\na)Did I turn up on time for the\r\ninterview?\r\n<br>\r\nb)Was I respectful and kind to\r\neveryone throughout the interview?\r\n<br>\r\nc)How did I present myself (was\r\nmy business attire appropriate for the company)? \r\n<br>\r\nd)Would I be a good fit for this\r\ncompany?\r\n<br>\r\ne)Would I really enjoy doing this\r\njob? \r\n<br>\r\nf)Would I get along with the\r\npeople working there? \r\n<br>\r\ng)Would I feel happy working in\r\nthis company?\r\n<br>\r\nh)How confident was I when\r\nanswering the interviewer’s questions?\r\n<br>\r\ni)How did I feel during the\r\ninterview? \r\n<br>\r\nj)How did the Hiring Manager\r\nperceive my questions? \r\n<br>\r\nk)What is my overall impression\r\nabout the company? \r\n<br>\r\nl)Did I make any mistakes? If so,\r\nwhich ones and why? \r\n<br>\r\nm)What did I learn from this\r\nexperience? \r\n<br>\r\nn)What would I do differently\r\nnext time? \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>2)Take notes of your interview\r\nexperience. Write down who you talked to, what you talked about, what you\r\nlearnt, the impressions you got from that workplace etc. \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>3)If the interviewer asks you to\r\nsend some references by tomorrow or to make a follow up call next week, make\r\nsure you stick to your promise. If you don’t, they will instantly get an impression\r\nabout your reliability.\r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>4)Send a thank-you note within\r\nthe next 24-48 hours. Here you have several choices: writing an email, a\r\nhandwritten letter or send them a video. \r\n\t<strong>A\r\nthank you video is something that would show your creativity and would make you\r\nstand out instantly. You might be the very first candidate ever who took such\r\nan approach! So, if you want to make sure they remember you (also visually)\r\nsend them a video.\r\n\t</strong> But don’t just thank the interviewer for his time, try\r\nto emphasise one more time your real interest in the job, mention few points\r\nthat you discussed during the interview and show your gratitude for the\r\nopportunity. If during the interview you learnt more about the company’s\r\nproblem and needs, try to promote yourself as a consultant rather than a job\r\napplicant. Make a proposal in which you clearly explain how you would solve the\r\ncompany’s issue. This would proof your passion and knowledge in order to make a\r\nreal contribution. \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>5)In case you met more interview\r\npanel members, try to write each of them a personalised follow-up letter. Having\r\ncollected their individual business cards would have been a good idea to\r\naddress them by their name! This could be a further opportunity to mention important\r\nachievements or other relevant points which have not been discussed during the\r\ninterview. Make sure you customize your text accordingly and don’t write the\r\nsame text to everyone.\r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>6)Follow them on Twitter (if you\r\nhave not already done so before going to the interview) and show them again\r\nthat you are interested in their company.\r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>7)In case you will be invited for\r\na further interview, don’t stop doing your research about that particular\r\ncompany. Think back at what your conversation was about and try to find out\r\nmore detailed information about the topics you discussed. Come up with further\r\ninteresting questions that you can ask in the next interview stage. This will proof\r\nto the recruiter that you are really keen on working in their company. \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>8)If in your network you have any\r\ncontacts who are working in that company or who are associated with the company,\r\nuse it to your advantage. Ask them to recommend you and influence the recruiter\r\nin their final hiring decision. \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>9)If you get rejected, don’t burn\r\nall your bridges. In life you never know. The person who got the job offered\r\nmight quit or be fired soon afterwards or another vacancy might open up later\r\non. You might not get the job today or tomorrow, but maybe later on. \r\n\t</li>\t\r\n<li>10)No matter how the interview\r\nwent, keep on applying for other jobs.
